Project description:
BORDERLINK aims to make a significant contribution to the objectives of the CCEI as well as to the planned reform of the customs union. BORDERLINK will improve the capabilities and performance of customs authorities at EU borders by promoting the detection and identification of threat materials and improving training, communication and data sharing. It contributes to the strengthening of supply chain control and the promotion of the green customs initiative.
10 countries are involved in the project, including Switzerland, Hungary, Greece, Lithuania, Ireland, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium and Norway.
The project is coordinated by the Belgian CBRA SERVICES, project partners are the Hungarian NATIONAL TAX AND CUSTOMS OFFICE, the Irish THE REVENUE COMMISSIONERS, the British HOME OFFICE, the Norwegian TOLLREGION OSLO OG AKERSHUS, the British RAPISCAN SYSTEMS LIMITED, the Greek SATWAYS-OLOKLIROMENES LYSEIS ASFALEIAS KAI AMYNAS -IDIOTIKI EPICHEIRISI PAROCHIS YPIRESION ASFALEIAS (IEPYA)-ETAIREIA PERIORISME, the Lithuanian INTA, JSC, the Irish rezero limited and ANALYZE IQ LIMITED, the Hungarian RSOE, the Austrian VICESSE RESEARCH GMBH, the Dutch TECHNISCHE UNIVERSITEIT DELFT, the British THE UNIVERSITY OF NOTTINGHAM and AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES LDA UK LIMITED, the Irish NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF IRELAND GALWAY, and the Swiss CROSS-BORDER RESEARCH ASSOCIATION and UNIVERSITE DE LAUSANNE as monitoring partners.
The project starts from december of 2024 and the end date of the project is december of 2027.
The project coordinator is the Belgian CBRA SERVICES.
